NEW DELHI: One person was killed and six others were injured, after militants this afternoon lobbed a grenade at a police party in Pulwama’s Muran Chowk in Jammu and Kashmir. Among the three injured is a jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force. Last week, three Army soldiers were martyred and 4 were injured – two, critically – after militants ambushed an army patrol party in the Shopian district of the state. This is the fifth encounter in four weeks between militants and security personnel.
