SIDHA KURA JANATA SANGA
An American national assuming office as a principal of SAB Public School in Kathmandu has been relieved from his duty as the National News Agency (RSS) carried a news on the same. No foreign national is permitted to run the school in that capacity although they can volunteer as a teacher following the certain criteria as per the Education Act. Mark Wiebers was appointed principal last year in the school where current PABSON Chief Lakshya Bahadur KC and former PABSON Chief Bhoj Bahadhur Shah hold posts in the school. RSS had recently carried the news on the illegal appointment of foreign national in the post which came to the notice of the concerned District Education Office and the school itself. PABSON Chief KC, also founder principal of SAB Public School, clarified that Mark was assigned as a training teacher only. The appointment of Mark was aimed at assisting in improvement of teaching learning activities of the school.
