NAC plans to purchase at least a wide-body aircraft each year

The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), the national flag carrier, has said that it would purchase at least one wide-body aircraft each year for international flights. Speaking at a press conference organized in the Capital City on Monday, NAC Managing Director Sugat Ratna Kanshakar said that the corporation should purchase new aircraft and start flights to new destinations to further increase its market share. The national flag carrier is signing a purchase agreement with AAR Corporation in March to purchase wide-body aircraft. Kanshakar said they will start flights to new destinations with the arrival of the aircraft. He added that NAC will then start process for selling older Boeing aircraft and purchase at least one wide-body aircraft each year. Kanshakar further said that new domestic destinations will be added after three new aircrafts are from China are added to the NACs fleet. On the occasion, he said that the government has reached an agreement to bring six aircraft from China. Out of them, three aircraft have been already added to the NACs fleet.
