For the proper management of traffic and managed urbanization, the government has brought the concept of constructing the outer ring road. But, even after ten years of planning/concept the construction of outer ring road has not been started yet. It has been a decade sine the government has brought the concept of making external ring road in Kathmandu Valley but still its construction even has not been started. The government has palnned to make 72 km of outer ring road that touches Thalidakche area through Chobhar, Gamja, Satungal, Sitapaila, Gingabu, Tokha, Chapali, Chunnikhel, Gokarneshwor of all three districts Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur of Kathmandu Valley. Before ten years, the planning of the construction of Outer Ring Road Development Project DPR has already been prepared but the project could not forward the construction work yet. According to which there was a plan to forward 5 km of roadways from Chobhar to Satungal as a Pilot project under the most awaited outer ring road project. But till the date the construction work has not been started yet. There was dispute a and intervention from the locals in the topic to take land free for the project due to which the construction work of ring road was being stranding. The last time, despite of having the positive response and supports from the locals too, the construction work is being delaying because of new survey said the Project Chief. Deepak Shrestha, the District Commissioner of Kathmandu Valley Development Authority said without making the detail report we could not forward the work, so the construction work is being delaying. In addition, it not the small sector, it is to construct 72 km of road which is a big challenge, challenge in this way that we need to construct roads taking the lands of the locals near by without paying them any money which is really very tough. Because of this reason, too the construction work of ring road is becoming delaying said Shrestha.
