Aasha And Sharmila name from Ambassador Back
The government on Friday nominated Sharmila Parajuli as Nepal’s ambassador to Oman. A cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday decided to nominate Parajuli as the ambassador to Oman, informed Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma. On April 19, the government had nominated Nepal’s ambassadors to 21 different countries, which included 13 political appointees. However, the nomination of envoy to Oman was pending for the ruling Madhesi People’s Rights Forum-Democratic (MPRF-D) as it could not provide a name for the post. According to sources at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Parajuli is a PhD candidate in social studies. All the nominees will be appointed after confirmation through the Parliamentary Hearings Committee. However, the formation of the committee is still uncertain as the major political parties are at loggerheads regarding its size. “Likewise, acting secretary Madhu Sudan Adhikari has been promoted to secretary,” said Minister Sharma. Adhikari is currently serving at the National Reconstruction Authority.
