First Convention Ceremony of Chartered Accountant in Kathmandu
President Bidhya Devi Bhandari on Tuesday stressed on the need of guiding the nation toward a path of prosperity. Addressing the first convention ceremony of Chartered Accountant graduates organized at Nepal Academy Hall by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN), President Bhandari said, "The political transaction in the country formally ended after the promulgation of the constitution. Now, our main goal is to drive the country toward prosperity by addressing peoples aspiration and institutionalize the political achievements earned through different struggles." Extending her congratulations to the graduates, President Bhandari said that she was hopeful that the graduates will serve the country wisely, keeping high the dignity of the title achieved through hard works. "I am confident that all of the graduate passing out from ICAN today will always implement the oath in course of fulfilling their duties." She added that there was a significant role of Charted Accountants in maintaining financial discipline intact in government, private, public and non-government organizations. Till now, 319 students have graduated from ICAN. Some 100 students were present at the convocation ceremony today. Video and Photo: Amrit Baniya
